User Group

Overview

User Groups in Wrenly are defined collections of individuals within an organization, facilitating communication, collaboration, and targeted initiatives. These groups can be organized based on department, project, or location, enabling employees to engage in discussions, participate in surveys, and contribute to a culture of recognition and support.


Launch and Setup


Creating User Groups

  1. Default User Group: A user group containing all members of the organization is created by default.
  2. Creating a New User Group:
    1. Navigate to Create New User Group
    2. Add the required details or upload an Excel file based on this User Group Template.
    3. Alternatively, Wrenly can import your HRIS data directly to create user groups

User Group Properties

Each user group has the following properties:

  • Name: The name of the user group.
  • Description: A brief description of the user group.
  • Members: Select channels or individual users to add group members.
  • Managers: Assign one or more managers to the group.
  • Parent User Group: Link the current group to a larger parent group if applicable.
  • Enabled Features: Options for enabling peer feedback, suggestion box, and recognitions.

User Group Management

  • Existing user groups can be modified directly from Modify User Group.
  • User groups can be disabled, restricting access to enabled features for their members.
  • User group features can be enabled or disabled.

User group access levels

  • Admins: Can create, edit, and view all user groups.
  • Managers: Cannot create or update user groups but can view insights and data for their respective groups.
  • Employees: Access public information relevant to the user groups they are part of.

Suggestion Box

  • User Group-Specific Suggestion Boxes: Each user group can have its own suggestion box. Set this up at User Group Suggestion Box.
  • Accessing feedbacks:
    • Admins can view feedbacks for all user groups.
    • Managers can access suggestion boxes only for the groups they manage.
    • Employees can submit feedback to any user group they are part of.

Surveys

  • Survey Audience: When creating surveys, admins and managers can choose to include entire user groups as the audience or select specific individuals.
  • Viewing Survey Responses:
    • Admins can view survey responses by user group and share results for specific groups.
    • Managers can see responses only for users they directly manage.

Recognitions

  • Admins can view all recognitions.
  • Managers only view recognitions for their group.
  • Employees see all recognitions from their groups on their home feed.

Peer Feedback

  • Admins can view all peer feedback.
  • Managers can view feedback for employees within their groups only.

Performance Reviews

  • Admins can manage all performance review cycles and results.
  • Managers only have access to reviews involving their group members.

Celebrations

  • Admins can view all celebration details
  • Managers can view celebration details of their group members.

Culture Score

  • Only admins can access the organizational culture score.
  • They can view a breakdown of score by category and user groups to monitor changes over time for improvement assessments.

Employee Profiles

  • Admins can view all users and the non-anonymous activities of all users
  • Managers can view their group users and their non-anonymous activities.

User Activities

  • Admins can view and filter all user activities
  • Managers can view activities of their group
